1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Chris Thrower, who runs Noggli at noggli.co.uk as an individual. "We" in these terms means Noggli and its operator. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Noggli.
2. Who can use Noggli
- Accounts are for adults aged 18 or over.
- You may only add children you have parental responsibility for, or have the permission of someone who does.
- Children use the game through your account and under your supervision. They do not have accounts of their own.
- Noggli is built for families in the UK and follows the National Curriculum for England.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so anyone who can read your email can sign in. Keep your email secure, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. What Noggli is, and is not
- Noggli is a practice game. The levels and year estimates it shows are a guide to practice at home. They are not a formal assessment, a diagnosis of any learning need, or a prediction of school or test results.
- Some content is written by an AI model, including the helper's replies, explanations, reading passages, feedback on written answers and the notes for parents. We check it with our own code, but it can still contain mistakes. Please tell us if you see one.
- Noggli does not replace teaching. If you are worried about your child's progress or wellbeing, speak to their school.
5. Price
Noggli is currently free to use. If we introduce anything paid in future, it will be optional and clearly priced before you choose it, and separate terms will apply.
6. Using Noggli fairly
Please do not:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the service;
- use automated tools to create accounts or collect content;
- use the helper for anything other than the question on screen;
- copy, resell or republish Noggli or its content, other than sharing your own child's report.
7. Our content and yours
The game, its design, its questions and its characters belong to Chris Thrower. You may use them for your family's personal, non-commercial use. What you and your children type remains yours; you give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Noggli running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or remove features. If we plan to close the service, we will give you reasonable notice by email so you can save anything you need.
9. Our responsibility to you
We will provide Noggli with reasonable care and skill. Because it is free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending things
You can stop using Noggli and delete your account at any time from your family page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect. Carrying on using Noggli after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If something has gone wrong, please email [email protected] first so we can try to put it right.
